The overall purpose of work package 8 (WP8) is to manage effective dissemination and long-term exploitation activities for the NanoSolveIT outputs, across the full range of project stakeholders, identified as: other nanosafety projects, the NanoSafety Cluster (NSC) and the Materials Modelling Cluster (MMC), nanotechnology industries, regulators and policy makers. WP8 aims are thus:
- To establish and develop the project website and project communication tools.
- To disseminate scientific results, tools & applications developed by NanoSolveIT to nanosafety researchers, industry and regulators, including the technical and computational know-how to enable adoption.
- Develop and implement a data management policy and oversee and support the Open access philosophy of the project by ensuring green and gold route open access to project outputs
- To ensure engagement with other relevant scientific communities, e.g. Materials modelling Systems Biology, Toxicology, sharing approaches and developments, and enabling interoperability of platforms.
- To promote acceptance and uptake of the NanoSolveIT approaches thus facilitating wider adoption.
- To ensure dissemination within Europe, particularly in non-consortium countries / new member states and maximise outreach to the wider international community (BRIC countries, Pacific rim including Australia etc.) thus promoting the role of Europe in nanosafety and facilitating business opportunities.
- To engage with regulators, policy makers and regulatory bodies (ECHA, EFSA, SCCS, OECD) to maximise their understanding of and engagement with the NanoSolveIT approach and solutions, and support its integration into EUON.
